Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Assistant Professor in Psychology is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across core and specialized areas such as cognitive, developmental, social, and abnormal psychology, using evidence-based and student-centered approaches. The role includes preparing and updating course materials, assessing student performance, and supervising research projects to ensure the achievement of program learning outcomes. The Assistant Professor contributes to curriculum development and continuous program improvement to align with international standards and emerging trends in psychology. In addition to teaching, the position requires active engagement in research and scholarly activities, including publications and participation in academic conferences. The role also involves academic advising, departmental service, and collaboration with community and professional organizations to enhance student learning and program relevance. The role involves teaching students in undergraduates and postgraduate academic programs while ensuring appropriate support is provided and high-performance levels are achieved. In addition to program coordination, the Assistant Professor will head research in specialized area related to order to enhance ADU's profile and contribute to the knowledge development of the local and international community. The role will also require active participation in engaging in diverse pedagogical methods and instructional strategies that support students in their holistic development.
