We collect the following categories of information: Account data: name, email address, and academic profile details (institution, designation, department, country) when you register. Payment data: enrollment payment information processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store card or bank details on our servers. Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interaction events, collected to improve the platform experience. Publicly available data: opportunity listings aggregated from public sources including LinkedIn, university websites, funding agency portals, scholarship directories, and other open platforms. This data relates to opportunities and organisations, not to individual users of Academint.
We use your information to: • Provide and improve the Academint platform • Process enrollments and issue confirmation emails • Issue verifiable digital certificates of completion • Send important account, workshop, and opportunity updates • Personalise opportunity listings based on your academic profile (institution, research areas, designation) We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Academint uses third-party AI models (including services provided by Anthropic) to process opportunity source material — such as PDFs, images, and URLs — and extract structured listing information. This processing involves the content of the source document only; your personal account data is not shared with AI providers in this process. AI providers we work with are contractually bound to data processing terms that prohibit the use of submitted content to train their models.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Auth), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Uploaded files and certificates are stored in Firebase Storage. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256.
Academint uses minimal cookies required for authentication (Firebase session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@academint.com. Account deletion removes your profile and enrollment history from our active systems within 30 days.
We use the following third-party services: • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and file storage • Razorpay — payment processing • Resend — transactional email delivery • Anthropic — AI-assisted content extraction (opportunity listings only) • LinkedIn and other public platforms — as sources for publicly available opportunity data Each service has its own privacy policy governing data they receive.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Opportunity source documents uploaded by administrators are retained for operational purposes and may be deleted at any time from the admin media library. Payment records are retained as required by applicable law.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by email. Continued use of Academint after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
