GITAM: Assistant Professor Recruitment for English and Other Languages

GITAM (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru Campus, invites applications for faculty positions in the Department of English and Other Languages. We are seeking academically accomplished and motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in English or a relevant discipline from a reputed higher education institution. The faculty is required to teach language courses offered to undergraduate students across various departments and contribute to the department's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The position calls for a strong commitment to teaching, research, and academic engagement, with a clear and sustained research agenda and a demonstrated commitment to scholarly publication. The faculty member will also contribute to curriculum development and revision, programme enhancement, accreditation and other departmental academic initiatives such as supervising student research projects, organising outreach events and workshops.

Ph.D. in English or a related field. Expertise in one or more areas is desirable: English Literature, Language and Linguistics, Translation Studies, Cultural Studies, ELT, Comparative Literature, or allied fields. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
